Feeding Our Future - San Jose with 26,000 lunches each summer.
Summer should be a fun time for youngsters excited to be out of school. Unfortunately, more than 16 million children face hunger during the summer because the free or reduced-price school meals they need end with the last day of classes.
To help with this problem, Sodexo proudly provides thousands of lunches to needy children through our eight-to-ten week summer Feeding Our Future program. This resourceful program donates food and labor necessary to provide summer lunches to children who would otherwise go hungry.
Now in its 12th year, Feeding Our Future has provided more than 1.5 million nutritious summer lunches to children across the United States.
Feeding Our Future - San Jose launched in 2003, with the direct support of funds raised at the annual Northern California Golf Invitational for Charity. To date, this tournament has raised more than $232,000 for the Sodexo Foundation, Feeding Our Future, and the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.
