Every year, Sodexo employees around the world support Servathon by participating in efforts such as donating and serving meals, sharing Sodexo expertise by providing nutrition, hygiene, food waste, and food safety education, collecting and donating non-perishable food, and fundraising through efforts such as product promotions, coin collections, and golf tournaments. You can dedicate a few minutes, a few hours or an entire day. Every action counts towards the success of Servathon and, more importantly, the national fight against hunger.
This year during Servathon, teams from every business segment participated in activities and employees involved entire Sodexo communities, including clients, suppliers, and community members. In the U.S., 24,346 employees were involved -- volunteering 65,313 hours, sorting 1,085,700 pounds of food, serving 443,709 meals and raising more than $115,000 for domestic hunger relief.
As Sodexo communities engaged in service this April, they also connected with 34,216 youth to mobilize them to be part of the solution, and took to social media to raise awareness about the problems we are facing as a nation.
