Sodexo communities support Servathon by participating in hunger-relief efforts such as donating and serving meals, sharing Sodexo expertise by providing nutrition, hygiene, food waste and food safety education, collecting and donating non-perishable food, and fundraising for Sodexo Foundation.
More than 24,000 Sodexo employees across the United States participated in more than 2,000 volunteer activities in their communities during the 2013 Servathon, volunteering 65,313 hours, sorting 1,085,700 pounds of food, serving 443,709 meals, engaging with 34,216 youth, and raising more than $115,000 for hunger relief. Join in Servathon April 1-30 by participating in one of the following activities:
Fundraise for Sodexo Foundation.
Volunteer your time and expertise. Serve meals at a shelter; sort food or pack meals at a food bank; help cultivate a community garden; teach nutrition education classes; host a healthy food drive.
Engage Youth. Youth engagement is important to ending hunger in America. Reach out to the young people in your life, such as your kids and their friends, grandkids, nieces and nephews, students in K-12 and college, connect with a youth group, local YMCA or Boys and Girls Club and get involved in a project in your community.
Participating in Servathon can be simple. You can dedicate a few minutes, a few hours or an entire day. Every action counts towards the success of Servathon and, more importantly, the fight against hunger.
