This online privacy policy describes the information the Sodexo Foundation collects through the services available on its web site www.SodexoFoundation.org (“web site”).

What type of information does the Sodexo Foundation collect about me?

The Sodexo Foundation, through its third-party vendors, may collect personal information to communicate with you and to process your donations. Personal information means information about an identifiable individual and may include identifying information, such as name, address, phone number, or e-mail address.

The Sodexo Foundation may also collect aggregated data, which is data from which the identity of an individual cannot be determined. Since it is not personal information, The Sodexo Foundation may use aggregated data in any way it considers appropriate.

The Sodexo Foundation, either for its own use or through its third party vendors, may collect personal information in order to:

• Communicate with you about the Sodexo Foundation;
• Respond to your inquiries;
• Communicate with you about events or other promotional purposes related to the Sodexo Foundation;
• Process your application for the Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarships;
• Meet any applicable legal and regulatory requirement.

Is my personal information shared with third parties?

Neither the Sodexo Foundation nor its third party vendors will share your personal information except as needed to process your donation to the Sodexo Foundation, your application for the Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarships, or your newsletter subscription.  We may disclose specific information upon governmental request, in response to a court order, when required by law, to enforce our corporate policies, or to protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety. We do not provide information to these agencies or companies for marketing or commercial purposes.

Unless permitted by law, no personal information is collected, without first obtaining your consent for the collection, use and sharing of that information. By providing personal information to the Sodexo Foundation, you agree and consent that we may collect, use and share your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

In most cases, and subject to legal and contractual restrictions, an individual is free to refuse or withdraw his or her consent at any time upon reasonable, advance notice. It should be noted that in some circumstances, certain  information can only be offered if a person provides personal information to the Sodexo Foundation. If you choose not to provide us with any required personal information, we may not be able to offer the opportunities and information requested.

How can I change what communication I receive?

We may use your e-mail address and other contact information provided to us through the web site to correspond about your donation, your scholarship application, or your subscription to our newsletter and other communications we consider important.  You can remove yourself from any of these e-mail lists at any time by following the instructions included with each e-mail.

You may change your personal information by calling or e-mailing the contact information listed below.

Why does the Sodexo Foundation collect web site information?

During your visit to the web site, we will collect certain web site use information for a number of purposes, namely to:

• Make your access to our newsletter, donation page, and scholarship opportunities more convenient and efficient;
• Establish web site activity trends;
• Monitor web site performance; and
• Improve web site design and functionality.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer) settings. If you turn cookies off, you won't have access to many features that make your site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly.

We may also use pixel tags – tiny graphic images – to help us analyze your online behavior, but we do not tie that behavior to any personal information.

How is my personal information secured?

The Sodexo Foundation strives to maintain appropriate physical, procedural and technical security with respect to its offices and information storage facilities so as to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification of personal information.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post a new statement on our web site and change the date at the top of the policy. Therefore, we encourage you to check the date of our privacy policy whenever you visit this site for any updates or changes.

What third party vendors do you use?

The Sodexo Foundation has established relationships with the following three vendors:

• Yahoo Merchant Solutions provides the payment platform for your secure donations to the Sodexo Foundation.  When you make a donation, you are automatically routed from the Sodexo Foundation website to a Yahoo Merchant Solutions website, branded helpstophungernow.org.  You will see the Yahoo Privacy Policy when you move to the Yahoo Merchant Solutions website.
• The Sodexo Foundation uses ConstantContact.com to manage its newsletter delivery.  When you elect to receive the Sodexo Foundation newsletter, you will be automatically routed to the ConstantContact.com website.  You will see the ConstantContact.com E-Mail Privacy Policy when you move to the ConstantContact.com website.  You will be asked to provide your name, and e-mail address in order to receive the Sodexo Foundation newsletter.
• Applications for the Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship are accepted by Institutional Scholarship and Tuition Services (“ISTS”) on behalf of the Sodexo Foundation.  Applicants will be routed from the Sodexo Foundation to the ISTS website.  You will see the ISTS Privacy Policy when you move from the Sodexo Foundation website to the ISTS website.  Note that applications for the Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarships are only accepted during a limited time frame.  Please refer to the Sodexo Foundation website for more information.

Are children allowed to access the website? 

Children, including children under the age of 13, may access the website and find information about the Sodexo Foundation and the Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarship. 

We cannot, and will not, establish conditions that require or encourage children to disclose more personal information than is reasonably necessary to apply for the aforementioned Scholarship.

What are my rights as a parent?

We respect a parent’s right to control their child’s information. As a parent, you may review the personal information we have on file for your child (if any) and request that we change, delete or no longer use such information or not collect additional information from your child.  To the extent we have not already deleted your child’s personal information, we will identify the information we have on file and make any necessary changes or delete such information. We reserve the right to take reasonable steps to verify that you are the parent of the child prior to disclosing or modifying the personal information of a particular child.
